I posted the trailer, but honestly the less you know about this show going in I think the better. It's quite rough. Has a very Bojack Horseman feel about it, honestly. Also, based the creator's true story.

We have another BUAD selection from the Unknown Patron, to go along with their Dough for Joe commission. This time, the:

NAVAL-STRENGTH GIMLET

We’ve had a few drinks with naval-strength gin. As a quick refresher, it’s 57% alcohol, whereas most traditional gin is 45%. It comes from the British navy storing both gin and gunpowder in wooden barrels in the ship’s hold. If the gin barrels leak, at that strength the gunpowder will still ignite.

There are many different recipes for this, with varying amounts of spirit and ways of serving. I did a few tests and this was the one I came up with that I like the best. Since our patron only specified a naval gimlet, I made us a traditional one, and a variation that I liked very much, so we can taste both. It’s a very classic combo with spirit, citrus, and sugar.

For this you will need:

·         2 oz. (60 ml) naval-strength gin (I used Plymouth)

·         ¾ oz. (45 ml) lime juice

·         ½ oz. (30 ml) 2-to-1 simple syrup

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a lime twist. You can also make this with a commercial lime cordial, like Rose’s, but when I made both there was really no contest.

What the hell is going on HERE?!

THIS is the movie I was trying to think of during Real World. It's excellent. Highest possible Jett recommendation.
