I chose this one just because it’s a classic from the 70s and 80s, and is kind of an abomination.
THE ALABAMA SLAMMER
Supposedly created at the University of Alabama, I guess during the 70s? Nowadays this is usually served as a shot, but in keeping with the theme of you guys not liking my cocktail choices, I made it a whole drink. Yes, that is a butt-hurt reference to your response to my Joe Rickey from several episodes ago. I’m a salty bitch.
· 1 oz. (30 ml) Southern Comfort
· 1 oz. sloe gin
o a gin-based liqueur made with sloe berries, a relative of the plum
· 1 oz. amaretto
· 2 oz. (60 ml) fresh OJ
o Shake all ingredients with ice
o Strain into a highball over fresh ice
o Garnish with an orange wedge and maraschino cherry, for some reason
