There’s a drink in the movie An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn, called “A Rum and a Ramble,” and that’s what I’ve made for you here. It’s completely unclear what the drink is, apart from it being brown and chocolately, and by the name it implies there’s rum in it. It’s a great fucking name. So I made up this cocktail.
A RUM AND A RAMBLE
· 2 oz. rum
o I used Appleton Estate gold rum
· 2 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
· 1 oz. crème de cacao
· 1 oz. heavy cream
· ½ oz. chocolate syrup (Hersey’s)
· 2 dashes cocoa bitters
You could potentially shake this, which I would do if I were only making one, but for the three of us I decided to use the old whirly-foozle blendy machine.
I swirled the glass with more chocolate syrup and then garnished with grated bitter chocolate. A big-ass Tootsie Roll would be good here, but I couldn’t find them at the store
Obviously this drink is quite sweet, dessert-style.
