· 2 oz. (60 ml) Galliano
o Or most other herbal liqueurs, you could sub Orzo easily here
· 1 oz. (30 ml) crème de cacao
· 1 oz. absinthe
Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
I love this opalescent cocktail. Fats said it was an experiment with absinthe, and it is very good. Very well balanced, the licorice and herbs of the Galliano and absinthe are well rounded by the creamy chocolate of the crème de cacao, it’s fantastic. Unsurprisingly, it tastes like a licorice chocolate candy, but not heavy. I think they may have a calling as an amateur mixologist, such as I like to fancy myself.
Crème de cacao and Galliano are very often paired together. Galliano and crème de cacao with heavy cream is a Golden Cadillac, but I couldn’t find any corollary out there for this cocktail.
